It's new meme time! So yesterday I was roaming around on some different blogs and I read a post on IceyBooks about this new meme! and I absolutley love the idea so of course I'm going to join in! The purpose of the meme is that sometimes it's really hard to pick what we want to read next which is very true. So this meme is for us to show the books that we need to read at some point and to have our followers pick which one we should read next! Pretty cool right?? If you want to find out more about the meme check out this link! I'm not sure if I'm going to participate every week unless I've been reading fast every week but I'll try!

Now I already know which book I'm reading right after the one I'm reading now but I like to know what I'm reading ahead of time so here are the books to choose from when I'm done with the few I'm reading now! (P.S. Click on the title to head over to goodreads and see what there about!)

I really hope this meme sticks around for awhile because it's such an awesome idea! I'm going to go ahead and link up so you'll be able to see my post there! If you guys decide to join in leave me a link and I'll come vote for you!!

Blood Jewel Tour: Guest Post + Giveaway

Hey guys! Today is my stop on the Blood Jewel by Georgia Cates tour hosted by Theses Paper Worlds So today I have a Guest Post and a Giveaway for you! so let's get started! Let's welcome the lovely Georgia Cates to the blog today =)

Top 6 Words to describe Blood Jewel and why:

Unique-

Blood Jewel is about the love affair between a vampire and his destined mate,
Chansey, which is mostly human. The story is Curry’s, so it is written from a male
vampire’s POV. In your tradition vampire/human romance, you read the story from the
female character’s POV and the reader completely misses the emotions felt by the male
vampire. Blood of Anteros and Blood Jewel both take the reader into the mind of the
lead male’s vampire character.

Romantic-

Back to the male POV...my gosh, who wouldn’t want to hear the romantic thoughts of
the man in your life? Curry’s love for Chansey is so sweet and tender, but that in no
way makes him a sap. He is an alpha male so we see his possessive, protective side as
well. (Sigh)

Sexy-

What can I say? This couple is hot and their chemistry is on FIRE! Someone get an
extinguisher. In Blood of Anteros, we saw Chansey pushing Curry for an intimate
relationship and he shows a lot of restraint, but his desire for Chansey becomes
uninhibited in Blood Jewel. No more holding back. That’s all I’m saying about that.
(Fanning myself)

Fulfilling-

The details and outcome of Curry and Chansey’s romantic adventure and love affair is
fulfilling for the reader, while leaving room for potential future drama. In other words, you
will get that ending we all know you want for them.

Insightful-

Blood Jewel is a fresh twist on the vampire world. Let’s face it...vampires have been
done well and not so well, but I approached Blood Jewel with emphasis on the Agápe.
To me, it is more about the Agape than it is about vampires.

Exciting-

Love never comes easy for a vampire and his Agápe and it never will. Their relationship
will always include danger and struggle, although they were chosen for one another by
the god, Anteros. What kind of story would we have it Love ever came easily?

Sounds awesome, thanks for stopping by Georgia! Now do you guys waant to find out a little bit about the book before the giveaway? Of course you do!

Waiting On Wednesday

Hello everyone! It's Wednesday which means it's time for another Waiting on Wednesday created by Breaking The Spine. What is Waiting on Wednesday you ask? It's a weekly bookish meme where we show off the books that we can't wait for! Anyone can join in just make sure you link back to the creator! Here is my WoW for this week!

Heaven by Alexandra Adornetto

Goodreads synopsis:
Only sixteen when she started the series, Ally Adornetto knows how teen hearts beat, and this long-awaited conclusion is certain to be her most popular book yet.

Bethany, an angel sent to Earth, and her mortal boyfriend, Xavier, have been to Hell and back. But now their love will be put to its highest test yet, as they defy Heavenly law and marry. They don’t tell Beth’s archangel siblings, Gabriel and Ivy, but the angels know soon enough, and punishment comes in a terrifying form: the Sevens, who are rogue angels bent on keeping Beth and Xavier apart, destroying Gabriel and Ivy, and darkening angelic power in the heavens.

The only way Bethany and Xavier can elude the Sevens is to hide in the open, and blend in with other mortals their own age. Gabriel and Ivy set them up at college, where they can’t reveal their relationship, and where there is still danger around each corner. Will Bethany be called back to Heaven – forever – and face leaving the love of her life?

Why am I waiting for this book? Well I probably shouldn't be because I haven't read the first or the second book. But I do plan to read them both very soon so why not have this one too, and because I absolutley love the cover! What did you guys choose for your WoW this week? Let me know in the comments or leave me a link to your own WoW!

If I Stay by Gayle Forman

If I Stay by Gayle Forman
Publisher: Speak
Publication Date: April 6, 2010
Number of Pages: 234
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have to say I’ve never read a book like this before Gayle Forman did an awesome job keeping me on the edge of my seat! This book is based on a girl named Mia who get’s in a car accident with her Mom, Dad and little brother Teddy. The problem is they all end up dying basically right away except her. (don’t worry that was all in the first few pages so it’s not a spoiler) After the death of her parents and brother Mia is unconscious in the hospital but basically she’s like in ghost like form near her body at all times. The hard part is that she has to decide if she wants to die with her parent’s and brother, or stay alive with her other family, boyfriend, and best friend.

The first thing I have to say is I’m so happy with how Gayle put the book together. I’m glad that the big tragedy happened in the beginning because it was easy to let them go. If we would of gotten used to the characters and then they died it would have been a lot harder to let them go and keep reading. But I wasn’t attached to the character right away so it wasn’t very hard (it sounds almost like a bad thing but it’s really not!)

The choice that Mia had to make is so hard and through out the book I kept thinking if it were me what would I do? And I honestly couldn’t begin to tell you what I would do because I really couldn’t choose. Mia is obviously a really strong character because instead of crying and freaking out the whole time she was picking her brain going through memories and trying to choose.

Other characters we met were Adam Mia’s boyfriend and I have to say I was pretty impressed with how badly he needed to get into that hospital room to see Mia. At first I was afraid that when he wouldn’t show up at all but when he came I couldn’t stop turning the pages to see what happened. The last main(ish) character is Mia’s best friend Kim who went out of her way not like Willow but did a lot to make sure that Adam got to see his girl. They weren’t always friends from the start but after there big blow out they’d become best friends and have been that way ever since so you can imagine how hard it was for Kim to find out her best friend could die at any minute. She stayed strong though even when her own mother was falling apart next to her and that’s one of the things I loved about Kim!

Overall I give the book 5 out of 5 stars because it was a fast and comforting story. It kept me turning pages as fast as possible throughout the whole book and now I can’t wait to read the second one =)

2 Awesome Book Promos!

Hello my awesome followers! You guys have been so awesome lately so I've decided to share with you two book promos that the authors have recently shared with me! So check out everything below and you can grab these two books for 99 cents and even for free!!

First up:
Unspoken Abandonment by Bryan A. Wood

Book Blurb: (Taken from goodreads)
'Unspoken Abandonment' is the story of one man's struggle to return home from the war in Afghanistan, only to find the person he once was may never be the same. Bryan Wood is a military veteran who served during combat operations in Eastern Afghanistan. After returning from combat, he found that his life was falling apart at every turn, and Bryan faced the greatest battle of his life in finding his own peace. He surprisingly found the answer was hidden within a daily journal kept while at war, and Bryan's path ultimately led him to find redemption in the most unexpected of places: love.

In a genre filled with war novels, 'Unspoken Abandonment' stands out as the work is brilliantly written, in a narrative form, which takes the reader on a breathtaking journey into the heart of Afghanistan. The reader is then taken back to America to face "life after combat." This story takes a head-on look at the powerful effects of war and post traumatic stress, but the true focus is on the inspirational triumph over this demon that haunts hundreds of thousands of America's bravest men and women. The story is captivating, the message is inspiring, and this is a "must read" for every American who cares to take an inside look at what our soldiers face on a daily basis. This amazing story will grab your attention immediately, and it is sure to keep you up, past your normal bedtime, for more than a few late nights of reading.

(P.S. This is a true story! Which makes it appeal to me even more because I love true stories!) Here are some places where you can check out the book! Remember it's only 99 cents right now!

Second up:

The Bewitching of Alison Allbright by Alan Davidson

Book Blurb: (Taken from goodreads)
This is the tale of a girl who is intensely jealous of all the good times her classmates have but who cannot share them because her parents are not very well off. After a series of bizarre events, she experiences life with a rich mother but returns to her old life knowing that money was not the answer to all her problems. "The Bewitching of Alison Allbright" has been the subject of a mini- dramatization by The Book Tower. Alan Davidson wrote his first four books under the pen-name A.D. Langholm. He has also written a series of "Annabel" books.

P.S. the cover that you'll see on Amazon is way better then this one! It's one of the things that persuaded me to grab it! This one unfortunately is the only one I could find so it'll do! Anyways here are the places you can find the book and don't forget you can find it free right now on Amazon!

Hewhay Hall by Susan Roebuck Tour + Giveaway!

Woot Woot guess what? Today I am apart of the Hewhay Hall by Susan Roebuck tour! Hosted by These Paper Worlds. Now I couldn't do a review because I'm really swamped but I decided to to the next best thing. Which is an Excerpt and a giveaway! So let's learn a little about the book shall we?

Book Blurb:

An unsung hero's destiny--Slater's house of horrors.

Fire-fighter Jude Elliott loses part of his leg trying to rescue a family held
hostage during a terrorist attack. He journeys to mysterious Hewhey Hall,
where it is told there are wondrous, magical cures. Little does Jude know that
his destination is Slater The Prince of Envy's lair where demons reside and
courageous souls are tormented... Can Jude escape Slater's house of horrors, or
will he suffer for all of eternity?

Sounds pretty good right? Before I share with you the excerpt do you want to know where you can grab the book? Of Course you do =) You can find the book in these places:

Ready for the excerpt? I am!

Excerpt:
Jude stared down the hill at the glint on the water and then across to the fields

baked hard by weeks of sun. He’d followed the directions to the letter, so this was
the right place. But where was Hewhay Hall?

A row of swallows balanced on a wire stretching overhead, each facing the same
way as Jude, who rested against a five-bar gate. They too seemed to be eyeing the
fallen tree trunks that littered the overgrown path down the rocky hillside. They
were lucky—they could fly, but Jude had to hobble.

The air moved on the other side of the marshland. He didn’t imagine it. A
definite ripple, the kind that alters your vision when a migraine’s about to start.
Although the shift was fleeting, he had the idea something was down there after all,
very faint and hard to describe. The outline of a building? Or maybe just heat haze.
Whatever, he’d come this far—he’d go and investigate.

The latch and hinges on the gate were so rusted, Jude couldn’t open it. Nothing
for it, then, but to climb over. He propped his crutches against the wooden bars,
placed his hands on the top, and hauled himself up so his right leg got a footing on a
lower rung. Now he could sit on the top. He bent down, picked up what was left of
his other leg, and maneuvered it over until he straddled the gate. It creaked under
his weight. As he swung his right leg over, he teetered, tried to grab the top bar but
lost his balance and fell headlong into a bramble patch.

Prickles stabbed him as he lay on his back, his whirling gaze locked on a wiggly
jet trail in the cloudless sky. Once the world righted itself, he pushed himself up on
his elbows and extracted some of the more painful brambles before rolling onto his
right knee. His bum in the air, he hoped no one was looking and that he retained
a shred of dignity as he balanced on his right leg and wobbled his way upright. As
he tried to stand, his knee locked. He was a second away from landing back on the
ground but he grabbed an oak tree trunk for support.

Bloody hell. Wasn’t it about time they gave him a prosthesis? He bent to rub his
stump, still raw after all this time. Why wasn’t he healing?

I really enjoyed the excerpt too! Now ready for the giveaway? You better be!

sound good? I think so! Before I show you the cover I also have an excerpt for you guys =)

I sat with my legs outstretched, leaning back on my palms and Chansey mimicked my position. She reached for her dress and scooted it up her thighs until she was satisfied with the amount of sun exposure on her legs. She enjoyed being in the sun and I wondered if she had given any thought as to how she would miss it if she became a vampire.
I didn’t want to think about it, so I shoved the thought aside and asked, “Are Gia and Lairah being overbearing about the wedding plans?”
“They have some intense ideas about our wedding,”she laughed. “I think I might want to elope.”
Now, she was talking my language. “You don’t have to convince me. I’ll take you to Vegas and make you my wife right now if it’s what you want.”
She quickly said, “Nope. I’m not ready to give up my dream of marrying you at the top of the open arm staircases.”
I wondered how I could be so lucky. How had I found enough favor with the gods to be given such a beautiful gift as Chansey?
“Oh, I’m sorry,” she apologized. “I didn’t even ask you if that was what you wanted.”
“I’ve already told you that I thought it was perfect,” I reminded her.
She appeared puzzled. “I don’t recall you telling me that.”
“We didn’t exactly discuss it. When we were at Rachel and Christian’s wedding reception, you told me how you pictured your wedding. We didn’t get far into the conversation because that jackass, Evan Finley, interrupted us.”
“Yes, that I remember well. I’m sorry his stupid insults stand out more in my mind than our conversation,” she apologized.
Just thinking about that jackass had my blood boiling, so I thought it was a great idea to steer the direction of the conversation back toward the wedding. “Have you thought about a date for our wedding?”
She smiled and her eyes lit up. “Yes, I’ve given it a lot of thought and I have a date in mind. How do you feel about a November wedding?”
No way! That was too long to wait. “I’d be fine with it if this was the end of October. I know four months isn’t forever, but it sure feels an eternity to me right now.”
“It’s not an eternity and four months barely gives me enough time to plan a small wedding. We haven't even told Granna and Granddaddy about our engagement yet. Have you forgotten that?”
I definitely had not forgotten that detail. “No, it hasn’t slipped my mind.”
She laughed and asked, “Are you worried about telling them?”
“I am a little nervous about it. I’ve never asked to marry someone before,” I admitted.
She leaned over and bumped her shoulder against mine. “Well, that’s good to know, but we’re telling them we’re getting married, not asking permission.”
“I know we don’t have to have their permission. That’s not what I need. It’s their blessing I want. I may be three times as old as Grady, but I still want to be respectful,” I said.
She looked at me and rested her chin against her shoulder as she laughed. “That is so bizarre to me.”
It didn’t sound like a compliment. “Does my age bother you?”
“No, I don’t think of you as your actual age. You just seem like a 26 year-old to me.” She sat up and leaned closer to brush her lips across mine. “A very robust 26 year-old.”
Her kiss and proximity stirred her Agape scent, leaving me with an intense urgency to be closer to her. I reached for her, pulling her against my chest a little too quickly. I heard her gasp and then I saw the smile across her face, proving the sudden catch in her breath resulted from delight instead of fear.
She deepened our kiss as she rolled to her back, pulling me on top of her to rest between her bent knees. This was our first private moment since we arrived at the compound and it caused me to be overly enthusiastic. I knew I shouldn’t, but I placed my hand behind one of her knees and pulled her leg to wrap around my waist as I pressed my body into hers. A sigh escaped her lips and she pulled her other leg up around my waist. The thoughts of what I wanted to do to her returned me to my senses and she recognized the look she had become so well acquainted with when things between us had gone a little too far.
She groaned because she knew what was coming next and locked her legs around my waist. “Don’t you dare stop because you can not keep doing this to me. It’s totally unfair!”I reached for her legs to coax them off of me. “Move the wedding up and I’ll be more than glad to become totally fair. In fact, I’m quite anxious to be totally fair.”

A thoughtful look came across her face and she said,“October. It’s the earliest I can pull it off even with help from Gia and Lairah.”
I tugged on her bottom lip with my teeth. “That’s still three months away,” I complained.
A pouty look came over her face and the little vixen I loved tried to use her power of persuasion on me just like Sebastian said she would. “I know a way to make the next three months pass much faster.”
“You’re name shouldn’t be Chansey. It should be Risky because you are playing with a fire you highly underestimate,” I assured her.
She dramatically huffed. “Promises, promises. I’m not sure I’ll ever find out if I underestimate you or not.”
Since I easily talked her into moving the date a month earlier, I thought I might push my luck a little further. “Looks like you won’t discover the truth for months, unless you want to move the date closer.”I took my hand and placed it on her thigh, moving it slowly under her dress as I said, “Come on, let’s do it.” I allowed my words linger as I gazed into her eyes and then I added, “In August.”
When I began to laugh, she forcibly slapped my hand away from under her dress to show her unhappiness with my joke. “I can wait if you can. Maybe even until the end of December. I’ve heard Christmas weddings are beautiful.”
It was clear I had pushed my luck too far with her when she showed me how she could beat me at my own game, so I conceded. “I’ll take the October wedding.”

even better! I can't wait to read the first book so I can snag this one =) and now DRUM ROLL PLEASE!!!!

"This Book was brilliant, creative, and completely magical. If you want an amazing book to read in 2012, I would suggest you go to the bookstore and pick up a copy of Masters of the Veil."

~Julia @Inkbitten

"I loved this book. I could list all the reasons, but there is one piece of praise I think sums up the book best. My son grabbed it as soon as I was finished reading it and hasn't put it down since. Dan Cohen has a winner with this series."
~Author Michelle Pickett

"A funny, imaginative, and delightful read!"
~Author Kate Kaynak
Now here's a little bit about the author!
Author Daniel A. Cohen
Daniel A. Cohen was just your average business student. Microeconomics, finance, marketing… you name it, he had to do a PowerPoint presentation on it. One dark and stormy night, he was bitten by the radioactive realization that memorizing business jargon could possibly be the most boring activity known to man.

After gaining eagle-eye vision, abs that could grate cheese, and a talent for imagining things (including his cheese-grating abs), he wrote his first novel and began his epic battle against the formidable business jargon. He continues to fight the good fight by playing saxophone and writing YA fantasy, forever hoping his Veil trilogy will help inspire others to join his cause.

You think I'm done? Of course not there's more! There's a huge giveaway for a $100 Gift Card =) Check it out!

Waiting on Wednesday was created by Breaking The Spine what we do is show off the books that aren't out yet but we desperately want!! Here is my book for this week =)

Eve & Adam by Michael Grand & Katherine Applegate

Goodreads Summary:
Sixteen-year-old Evening Spiker lives an affluent life in San Francisco with her mother, EmmaRose, a successful geneticist and owner of Spiker Biotech. Sure, Evening misses her father who died mysteriously, but she’s never really questioned it. Much like how she’s never stopped to think how off it is that she’s never been sick. That is, until she’s struck by a car and is exposed to extensive injuries. Injuries that seem to be healing faster than physically possible.

While recuperating in Spiker Biotech’s lush facilities, she meets Solo Plissken, a very attractive, if off-putting boy her age who spent his life at Spiker Biotech. Like Evening, he’s never questioned anything... until now. Solo drops hints to Evening that something isn’t right, and Emma-Rose may be behind it. Evening puts this out of her mind and begins her summer internship project: To simulate the creation of the perfect boy. With the help of Solo, Evening uncovers secrets so big they could change the world completely.

Well last week I was asked to be one of the blogs to reveal the cover of My Super Sweet Sixteenth Century by Rachel Harris! and of course I said hell yes! because I can't wait to read the book myself and because it's my first cover reveal! Anyways I know you guys don't want to read my rambling so let's get on to the good stuff! First let's get to know the author a little bit shall we?

As a teen, I threw raging parties that shook my parents’ walls and created embarrassing fodder for future YA novels.
As an adult, I read and write obsessively, rehash said embarrassing fodder, and dream up characters who become my imaginary friends.
When I'm not typing furiously or flipping pages in an enthralling romance, you can find me homeschooling my two beautiful princesses, hanging out with my amazing husband, or taking a hot bubble bath…next to a pile of chocolate.
MY SUPER SWEET SIXTEENTH CENTURY is my first novel. I did have my own fantabulous Sweet Sixteen in high school. Sadly, it wasn’t televised.

Awesomeness right? Don't fret I still have lot's of awesomeness left including the blurb of the book, and awesome excerpt, the cover duh!, the never before seen book trailer, and a giveaway hosted by YA Bound!! Who's excited about all that stuff!? I sure am so let's get started!

Book Blurb: On the precipice of her sixteenth birthday, the last thing lone wolf Cat Crawford wants is an extravagant gala thrown by her bubbly stepmother and well-meaning father. So even though Cat knows the family’s trip to Florence, Italy, is a peace offering, she embraces the magical city and all it offers. But when her curiosity leads her to an unusual gypsy tent, she exits . . . right into Renaissance Firenze

Thrust into the sixteenth century armed with only a backpack full of contraband future items, Cat joins up with her ancestors, the sweet Alessandra and protective Cipriano, and soon falls for the gorgeous aspiring artist Lorenzo. But when the much-older Niccolo starts sniffing around, Cat realizes that an unwanted birthday party is nothing compared to an unwanted suitor full of creeptastic amore.

Can she find her way back to modern times before her Italian adventure turns into an Italian forever?

Awesome Excerpt: “I thought I’d teach you a dance from where I come from,” I tell him. “One that’s much easier than that multi-step mess inside.”
I place my left hand on Lorenzo’s shoulder and slip my right one into his. I pause to listen to the music floating over the tinkling voices and bubbling fountain, and begin counting the three-beat tempo. “One, two, three. One, two, three.”
I stand still, only my head moving, slowly nodding with my words so he can hear the rhythm.
When his head begins subtly bobbing with mine, I show him how to add his feet. He takes a tentative step forward with his left while I step back with my right, then we side step, close, and repeat the steps with our other feet, all while I lightly whisper the beat count.
The breeze picks up, blowing my skirt and skimming my veil across the back of my neck. Chills run down my spine, but the warmth coursing through my veins from being in his arms provides a delicious contradiction.
Lorenzo continues nervously darting his eyes to our feet, but he is dancing. As he relaxes into the movement, his shoulders rising and falling with the steps, the confidence he always seems to exude creeps back on his face, and he tightens the hold around me. Our faces are kissably close, our lips a hairs breadth away from touching. I stare into the chocolate depths of his eyes and the rest of the ball fades away. The only music guiding our steps is my light whisper and the erratic rhythm of our breathing. Time slows. Lorenzo grins.
“I think you got it,” I say breathlessly, running my hand along the soft fabric of his shoulder, feeling the rock-hard muscles underneath.
My body curls inward, pressing against his. The proper form for the waltz is a straight spine and shoulders back, but if there was ever a time to break the rules, this is it.

I know this post is starting to get long but don't leave yet because guess what?! **Drum Roll Please!*** Here's the cover!!!
